# AvtaleGiro

AvtaleGiro is a direct debit payment scheme used in Norway managed and operated by [Mastercard Payment Services](https://www.mastercardpaymentservices.com/norway/avtalegiro) (MPS), formerly NETS.

Payments are made based on an agreement between the payer and merchant. The agreement must be approved and active before payments can be collected.
