# Rule type Manage Source

If you have a source connector in use, the Manage Source rule creates the source-specific object records for the installment if no existing installment.

The Manage Source Rule Type is included in all [managed rule sets](/docs/reconciliation/guided-matching-managed-and-suggested-rules) and can not be added through the Guided Matching setup.
