# How is FinDock handling the move to external client apps? Salesforce [announced](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=005228017&type=1&utm_source=techcomms&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=FY27_Core_4109676) that connected apps are moving to long-term end of support in favor of external client apps (ECAs). The changes in the Winter ‘26 and Spring ‘26 release limit the ability to create new connected apps through the Salesforce UI. These changes do not impact FinDock connect apps. When you install FinDock, connected apps like ProcessingHub and WebHub are already created. As part of the setup process, you only need to “install” these apps to give them access to your org. While our current app framework continues to work as is, we are evaluating how to move to ECAs. Any required development work and new guidance will be completed in due course as we carefully follow the timelines provided by Salesforce.
