Requesting payments

FinDock supports several payment methods that can be used for regular payment collection as well as payment requests where the payment is non-binding. Payment requests can be used for membership drives and direct mail fundraising campaigns, for instance.

The advantage of these payment methods is that they include a unique payment reference that makes reconciliation simple and certain. Because the references are available to you in Salesforce before the payment is collected, you can also you can use them as the basis for reporting and other business processes.

Some markets have unique payment request methods. One such example is Tikkie in the Netherlands. FinDock supports bulk Tikkie generation as well as Quick Tikkies.

Payment references for requests and other purposes can be generated per installment, recurring payment, or in bulk using the Payment Request Generator. The generator "stamps" Salesforce campaign or report entries with reference IDs (e.g. used on printed payslips), links or QR codes, depending on the payment method. The bulk option is ideal for events such as fundraising campaigns because you don't need to create installments upfront. FinDock instead creates the installments through reconciliation.

To generate payment references on individual installments or recurring payments, you simple create the records with the desired processing details. FinDock generates the reference automatically when the new record is saved. For more information, see Payment requests with FinDock.

Another payment request option is to use FinDock PayLinks, a paid add-on feature that automatically adds a payment URL to every installment in your org. Once you configure PayLinks is configured, you can use paylinks for most anything, including payment requests.
