FinDock releases

The exact timing of each release varies, but we generally follow an 8-week release cycle with six releases a year. Each release includes the following steps:

  1. Release notes published during the week before release to sandboxes.
  2. Release pushed to sandbox orgs and new docs version published.
  3. Release webinar on the Friday following the sandbox update.
  4. Release pushed to production orgs four weeks after sandbox update.

In addition to the planned releases, we issue hotfixes to production orgs whenever necessary.

Release notes and actions

For most packages, FinDock pushes updates automatically, first to sandbox orgs for testing, and then to production orgs. It is very important to use the sandbox period to test release changes and ensure your customizations, such as unique automation logic or custom integrations, continue to work as expected.

A small subset packages - specifically Axerve, Redsys and Swiss Payments - cannot be pushed. This limitation is always noted in the package-specific configuration article. If the release includes a change for these packages, you need to manually install the update through the FinDock Installer.

If a specific release change is potentially a breaking or requires manual action, this is explained in the release notes. We strongly recommend your Salesforce admins and technical teams carefully read release notes to ensure all testing and potential manual actions are completed prior to the production release date.

We always send out an email when release notes are published for the next release. This typically occurs the week before the sandbox release date. Make sure you stay up-to-date by subscribing to our release email.
