FinDock follows an 8-week release cycle for six major releases a year. The exact dates are provided in our release schedule.
When a release is ready, FinDock pushes updates to orgs automatically. Each release goes through the following steps:
- Release notes published during the week before release to sandboxes.
- Release pushed to sandbox orgs and documentation published.
- Release webinar held on the Friday following the sandbox update.
- Release pushed to production orgs four weeks after sandbox update.
In addition to the main release cycle, fixes and updates may be pushed to orgs as needed. These are communicated separately through direct contact with customers and/or FinDock Status. To receive status notifications, click SUBSCRIBE TO UPDATES at the top of the Status page. Feature maturity also impacts fix and update cycles.
Axerve, Redsys and Swiss Payments packages are not pushable. Please manually install release updates through the FinDock Installer.
If a release update is potentially a breaking change, has a required action or a recommended action, we explicitly mention that in the release notes. We strongly recommend admins and technical teams carefully read release notes. Make sure you subscribe to our release email and FinDock Status, and check out our release webinars.
We provide the 4-week sandbox period so you can test the release and ensure custom business logic and integrations continue to work as expected. Our internal testing includes extensive regression testing with each release, and for most customers, this is adequate. However, our test environments cannot replicate customizations or unique business processes.
Please complete your standard test cases and any required actions prior to the production release date.
