Setup overview

To get FinDock up and running, you need to do some installing and configuring both on the Salesforce side of things, and on the FinDock side.

The basic setup process is:

  1. Install FinDock.

Install FinDock Core and ProcessingHub packages.

  2. Configure Salesforce permissions.

This is a crucial step to get right. Take your time here.

  3. Configure FinDock Core.

FinDock Core has a few important items to set up.

  4. Connect and configure ProcessingHub.

FinDock needs an active, authenticated connection to ProcessingHub. Certain payment processing and reconciliation also require specific ProcessingHub settings.

  5. Connect WebHub.

Though not required, most setups need an authenticated connection to the FinDock WebHub app to process online payments.

Once the basic setup is in place, you can add payment extensions to integrate with your preferred payment processor. You may also need to install a source connector for industry solutions.
