FinDock for Norway
FinDock for Norway is part of the Nordic Payments payment extension package. The native payment processing options include payment methods such as AvtaleGiro and Giro KID.
Install Nordic extension
Follow the standard procedure for installing payment processors to add the Nordic Payments extension for Norway and Sweden. Activate the FinDock for Norway processor, and then activate a payment as needed. For details, see AvtaleGiro direct debit and Giro (KID).
Make sure you assign the required permissions. If you are using custom permission set groups, ensure the Nordic permission sets are assigned.
Configure KID format
The general settings of FinDock for Norway define the format of the customer identifier, called the KID (kundeidentifikasjon), that FinDock uses for payments in Norway, such as AvtaleGiro direct debit payments. The format needs to match the specific KID requirements of your Norwegian bank.
To configure the KID format:
- Launch the FinDock app and click the FinDock Setup tab.
- Go to Payment Processors & Methods.
- Under Installed Processors, click the Norway processor entry.
- Adjust the general settings as needed:
- KID Total Length: enter the total length of your KID; must be 3-25 characters
- Customer number length: set your required length
- Payment type enabled: optional type identifier; enable to include type in generated value
- Payment Type length: if enabled, choose the number of digits that FinDock should use to generate payment type
- Check digit format: select modulo 10 or 11
- Click Save.
