FinDock Setup
The new FinDock Setup is currently in beta.
The new FinDock Setup is available to everyone for beta testing. You can try it out alongside the existing “classic” setup.
FinDock Setup is a new tab. The classic Setup tab does not change.
To be able to use the new FinDock Setup, Salesforce Lightning Web Security (LWS) must be enabled. If it is not yet enabled your org, you can enable LWS manually.
While still a work in progress, we aim to enable all setup actions from the enhanced, unified interface. For example, installing packages no longer requires the standalone FinDock Installer.
Deploying configuration changes is also automatic, eliminating the dedicated Deploy Config action. The new deployment framework uses an external FinDock app running on Heroku. You are automatically prompted to allow the app to access your org when needed. Authorization expires after some hours of idle time.
Current state of FinDock Setup
As you can see from the screenshot above, settings are redesigned to take advantage of the latest Salesforce capabilities. The FinDock Setup relies on intuitive design and in-app guidance to help you through the setup process.
