Why did I get notified by Salesforce about ICU locale formats?

Salesforce is in the process of retiring the JDK locale format and with the Spring ’25 release enforcing the Enable ICU locale formats update. This requires the Salesforce API of Apex classes, Apex triggers and custom Visualforce pages to be version 45 or higher.

Some FinDock components, however, use a lower version at the time of the January ‘25 release. This prevents the automatic ICU locale formats enablement with the Salesforce Spring ‘25 release.

We have not identified any impact on FinDock functionality if the ICU locale format update is enabled or not. However, as part of our March ‘25 release, we are upgrading all Apex classes, triggers and other components to a higher API version.

After the FinDock March ‘25 release, you can manually enable ICU locale formats in Spring ‘25 orgs. If you would like to postpone this action, your Salesforce admin can request a deferral until Summer ‘25. Just go to the Salesforce Setup and use Quick Find to locate the Translation Workbench User Interface settings. On the User Interface settings page, uncheck the option Enable ICU locale formats as part of the scheduled rollout.
