Can I replace an existing target?
If you change your bank account, you can change the target configuration in FinDock accordingly.
However, if the change requires using a new target name, you need to create a new target. This impacts picklists and associated fields on certain objects.
To replace an existing target with a newly named target:
- Delete the current target.
- Configure the new target with the new name and account information.
- Deploy Config to update picklists.
- Update records for installments, recurring payments / donations and payment schedules that used the old target.
The final step can be done manually or through scripting and Salesforce tools to perform bulk changes.
