# iDEAL | Wero

Extremely popular in the Netherlands and available internationally, [iDEAL](https://www.ideal.nl/en/) is an online payment method enabling secure, direct money transfer from a payer's bank account to the online merchant. that is being replaced by [Wero](https://wero-wallet.eu/), a new method from the European Payments Initiative.

The Wero payment method is a work in progress. FinDock's current support for the iDEAL to Wero transition includes front-end changes only for icons and labels to reflect the co-branding.

FinDock supports using iDEAL | Wero for accepting online payments as well as for making [payment requests](/docs/payments/payment-requests-with-findock).
